There has not been much activity on my blog for a long time now, in November I started a Folksy shop www.folksy.com/shops/thepairtreeearrings & all the jewellery I have made is available to buy online now.
I have also had some jewellery on sale in Big Blue Sky in Wells next the Sea but that is due to moved soon as we have relocated to Hampshire so I am now on the look out for somewhere down here to showcase my creativity!

Pottery Workshop
Yesterday my mum & I had a fabulous day out together at a pottery workshop with Maggie Donald in Parson Drove.
We had so much fun, it was nice to have a go at making things on a much larger scale than I am used to!
We each got to glaze a piece of Raku pottery - you paint on the glaze & then they get fired & then put into a pile of sawdust which catches fire & the smoke gets into the cracks in the glaze - it is very clever - below is the Raku pottery I glazed - the black areas had no glaze, the white were clear glaze & the copper colouring is where the fire oxidised the glaze (although don't quote me on the oxidising bit - I'm not 100% sure of my facts!)
After years of wanting to have a go on a potters wheel I finally had a go at throwing a pot - I made 2 little bowls & once they have been fired I can go back to glaze them. As well as my 2 bowls I made a heart shaped dish, 2 tiles & a little pot I am going to use for potpouri - all a little rustic & amateurish but I am very proud of my attempts!! Can't wait to glaze them & bring them home to brighten up my little house!
Maggie Donald runs a Beginners One Day Pottery Course in her studio in Parson Drove for £35 per person, including 1 piece of Raku pottery and a wonderful lunch (follow the link on the right of the page to The Wonderful World of ArtDonald)

Tiny Works of Art
Children love to draw and can create beautiful pictures that you want to keep forever, now you can immortalise your children's drawings in silver and carry them with you
Use your childrens drawings to create charms for bracelets, necklaces .....
Or even keyrings .....
A Tiny Work of Art can be made of any drawing so either choose one you have saved from years ago or get your child to draw something especially for the Tiny Art and email it to emwatson1986@gmail.com
For best results Tiny Works of Art should be made with simple, line drawings, drawn with a thick line, although we will do our best with any art work provided.
Necklaces (1 pendant) £60 , Single charms £25 , Keyrings (1 charm) £35
